  • Please note: if a long Camel trek and overnight stay in the camp is not for you you can still enjoy the sunnset in M’Hamid and Chegaga with a schorter camel trek or a walk and pass the night in the Bivac at the dune line. If the itineraries that we offer does not match what you are looking for ,contact us and we will prepare the trip to your needs and requirements.

  1. Day 1 Meet at the village of M'Hamid

    Upon arriving on your own in M’Hamid, is the host waiting for you where you leave your car safely in the village of M’Hamid. After you have parked your car you go by camel through the last palm of the Draa valley towards the first pieces of the sand dunes to the bivouac ’The Little Prince’. Arriving at the camp, you can enjoy your time to watch the sunset over the dunes.

     

  2. Day 2 Day trip to the big sand dunes of Chegaga

    After breakfast, we return to the village M’hamid by camel. After that we visit the old Ksar of M’hamid. After our visit to the old Ksar of M’hamid we leave the 4×4 through the big dunes to Erg Chegaga. Along the way, we have a picnic in the desert. After we bring the sand dunes of Erg Chegaga have experienced we drive back to the bivouac ”The Little Prince” to camp the second night in a nomad.

We were three woman travelling with Abdoul across Sahara and south of Marocco from Quarzzazate onward to Mhamid, Chigaga Dunes (we got excellent guide there) toward Gorges du Dades and Valley of Roses. All was fine, we had a comfortable car, pleasant driver, good programe. We were on a tour with everything organized. We slept in beduine camp with great food and service and a music concerts two nights in a row. We were watching unforgatbale sunset on Chigaga dunes and I even did a sandboard, which is completely different to snowboard. We got excellent service for good price. When being in Marocco one need to know what want and negotiate everything. I would surelly reccommend the service of Desert Mhamid. With my good memories of the place and atmosphere, I send my best regards to all who let me enjoy my stay in desert and valley of the south of Marocco.
