5 days desert and Ouzoud waterfalls

After breakfast, we travel south to Agdez. Here Dra’a Valley begins its thousands Kasbahs. The oldest Kasbah is in Agdez and the Kasbah Tamnougalte. Through the old caravan route we travel Tansikht where we turn riching east. We drive along the Bani mountains to the dunes of Merzouga, we pass several Berber villages, N’Qob, Tazzarine, Elnif, Rissani. We have lunch in one of dezde Berber villages. We then travel and arrive at Merzouga ”erg Chebbi”, where we are welcomed with a glass of mint tea. After tea we ride camels to the nomad camp where we enjoy the sunset, volklore music at a campfire and a delicious supper.

In the early morning you can enjoy the spectacle of the sunrise. You can watch the shadow play and you change the color of the sand dunes. After coming back, you can freshen up and have breakfast at the inn. After breakfast travel to Gorge Toudga. We pass the Berber village of Erfoud known for his date Festival in October. It is also known by many fosslielen that are found near here. In Gorge Toudga you can enjoy a walk through the gorge and along the river and gardens. After the walk, dine and spend the night in a guesthouse / hotel.

After breakfast we travel north to Tamtattouchte and in the mountains south of Imilchil, is the city where there is the marriage festival in September. The road is very beautiful, but slow and windy. In winter the snow can make roads impassable. We reach Kasbah Tadla on the main road from Marrakech to Fes and is located on the left bank of the Oum There Rabia River. Shortly after Kasba Tadla is located in Beni Mellal, where we visit Ain Asserdoun waterfalls. It is also a source for drinking water for the surrounding villages. The falls are located in a well maintained and beautifully designed park, and from the ”castle” Get a panoramic view of the city and the fertile plain with olive and orange trees. We continue our journey back into the High Atlas, on the way to the beautiful Ben El Ouidane. Here you can stroll along the lake where you can enjoy the peace and nature. After the walk we continue our journey to the waterfalls of Ouzoud.
Here we dine and spend the night in a hotel.

After breakfast you can visit the waterfalls of Ouzoud, one of the most spectacular natural beauty spots in Morocco. The surrounding countryside offers red cliffs, oleander and pigeons. If you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of some Barbary macaques. A short walk takes you to the top of the waterfall where you can see the river stretching from the beautiful waterfalls.

On the way back to Marrakech to Demnate, we drive the six kilometers to Imi-n-Ifri, which in the local dialect ”door to the cave.” It is a natural rock bridge collapse formed by an underground cave system. Another three-hour drive will take you back to your hotel or Riad in Marrakech.
