All about the 7 Days hiking through the desert.

Walking through the desert of morocco. Make a beautiful walk from camp to camp through the desert. Trek on foot or camel to the ruins of Sidi el Reg Bousnina via Arada. Pass the village of Ait Ounabgui to the Erg Smar and Erg Ezzahar. The vast landscape does not make you feel like you’re in a no-man’s land.

Please note: if a long Camel trek and overnight stay in the camp is not for you you can still enjoy the sunnset in Erg Chebbi with a schorter camel trek or a walk and pass the night in the Hotel at the dune line. If the itineraries that we offer does not match what you are looking for ,contact us and we will prepare the trip to your needs and requirements.

  1. Day 1 Ouarzazate - M'Hamid - Bivouac

    Morning depart from your hotel / riad in Ouarzazate. We travel with a 4×4 to M’hamid. We drive through the Tizi-n-Tinfifte, and the village Agdez. Then we continue our journey to Tamnougalt, a scenic route marked am fortified villages and huge palm river valley du Draa.
    Once we arrive in Zagora we take our lunch there. After lunch we continue our journey to M’hamid, the last village in the Draa river. Arriving in M`Hamid we are greeted by the host and the camels. We ride on the camel to the bivouac between the sand dunes where you can enjoy the sunset and the shadow play on the sand dunes.
    Dinner and overnight in nomad tent camp.

  2. Day 2 M'hamid - Reg-el-Arada The ruins of Sidi Bousnina

    After we have introduced to your team of camels and guides, we begin the trek on foot or camel to the ruins of Sidi el Reg Bousnina via Arada. First, we will Picnics during the walk. After having a picnic we walk. At the end of the afternoon we arrive near the ruins of Sidi Bousnina. We will set up our camp for the night.

  3. Day 3  The ruins of Sidi Bousnina - Very Ezzahar

    Right from the early morning departure to the dunes of Erg Ezzahar. While we then walk to visit the
    ruins of Sidi Bousnina. Furthermore, we take our lunch on the way to the sand dunes where we arrive late afternoon. You have the posibility to walk relax on and around the sand dunes of Erg Ezzahar. Here we set up our camp.
    Dinner and overnight in camp.

  4. Day 4 Very Ezzahar - Erg Smar

    Waking at dawn, after we had breakfast we go with the caravan towards Erg Smar we pass the village of Ait Ounabgui. We take our lunch in the desert.

  5. Day 5 Erg Smar - Very Ait Ounir

    In the morning we continue our journey through the desert. We Picnic lunch. We arrive late in the afternoon in Erg Ait Ounir. After that we go our camp.

  6. Day 6 Erg Ait Ounir - Rass Nkhill - M'Hamid

    After breakfast, we leave the caravan back to the bivouac in M’Hamid. We take our lunch in the desert.
    Dinner and overnight in the bivouac of the Little Prince.

  7. Day 7 M'Hamid - Ouarzazate

    In the morning, after breakfast we will visit the ancient village of M’Hamid. After visiting driving the old town with the 4×4 back to Ouarzazate. We stop, we visit the Koranic library at Tamgroute. From Zagora we continue our trip through the Draa Valley along the cap Tansikht you is to discover beautiful landscapes. We stop for lunch in Agdez continue our journey to Ouarzazate. We arrive late in the afternoon at your hotel in Ouarzazate.
